Painting theWinter Landscape
Signature member of PSEC, this artist has won numerous awards with her very distinct and contemporary style, particularly in winter scenes. Although relatively new to pastel, but not to painting. her works are present in many Galleries around Montreal. She will build up an image, loosely, alternating between adding detail and then losing it with broad strokes of pastel. She enjoys looking at the contrast between the organic forms of flowers and trees and the geometric forms of man-made structures such as buildings. The painting is complete when there is a balance between specificity and ambiguity.
